Brazil win World Cup!!!!!!

Brazil won the World Cup when they beat Germany 2-0 in the Final at Yokohama on Sunday.  Striker Ronaldo, at 25 years of age, became the highest scorer in the 2002 World Cup with 8 goals to his credit, including both scored in the the final.

This win was a record feat for a country who has produced a wealth of Soccer stars through the years, and they become the country with the highest number of wins, five.  They last won the World Cup in 1994 having lost in the final of the last Cup in 1998 to France, also took it in 1970, 1962 and 1958.

With their pin-point passing flair, the Brazilians gave the Germans a hard-time and it was only the acrobatics of German goal-keeper Oliver Kahn that kept the score down to just two-nil.

Turkey narrowly beat co-hosts South Korea 3-2 in the contest for third and fourth places.
